Lithuania-Artsakh parliamentary friendship group established in Lithuanian parliament
Lithuania-Artsakh parliamentary friendship group has been established in the Lithuanian parliament (Seimas).
A group of Lithuanian MPs adopted a protocol to create the friendship group with Artsakh. The original document was handed to NKR Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan.
Prior to this, on February 26, the Lithuanian parliament hosted a conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of democratic movements in Armenia and Lithuania and the national-liberation movement of Artsakh. The attendees also paid tribute to the victims of Sumgait pogroms.
Lithuanian MPs, representatives of political, public and academic circles, including founding members of Sayudis Movement and representatives of the Armenian community, attended the event.
NKR Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan and member of Armenian parliament Vahan Hovhannisyan were invited to the conference as special guests, Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.
