Larisa Alaverdyan: Opposition should learn lesson from situation
Former Heritage MP Larisa Alaverdyan is in favor of holding new parliamentary elections.
“It is not late yet. I think the National Assembly should discuss holding new parliamentary elections,” she told reporters today.
The former MP thinks it possible that the current ruling power will again be represented in parliament.
“Being opposition is not bad at all. It is rather honorable,” Mrs Alaverdyan said.
Commenting on tense domestic political situation, she said the public protest was fair and that there were grounds for it, but there was one danger – the political forces that once treated irresponsibly the demands of the people could take advantage of the situation.
Alaverdyan expressed the hope that the opposition, which has not so far been consistent, would learn a lesson from the situation.
