Another hysteria of Azerbaijan in Milan’s exhibition of international tourism
Exhibition was held in Milan dedicated to International tourism on February 14-17. This year NKR was presented by itself showing books, video, wine, brandy etc. The delegation consisted of 4 members headed by Sergey Shahverdyan.
According to Pyunik information agency in Milan the pavilion of Azerbaijan is situated next the NKR pavilion. Azerbaijani couldn’t get along with the idea that NKR has its own pavilion and is presented as a self-dependent unit.
After few hours representative of Azerbaijan come up to NKR pavilion and says that NKR cannot have a separate pavilion as it doesn’t correspond to international norms. Askyar demands to leave the pavilion and stop delivering leaflets about Artsakh. Not being satisfied with the statements only, the Azeris enter NKR pavilion at night and steal the booklets and big posters on which Nagorno Karabakh is written.
The Honorary consulate mediates. Honorary consul Mr. Pietro Kochukyan who witnessed all this applies to the manager of the exhibition Emanuela Forl and tells everything asking to help to stop the future predicaments.
The story didn’t end by this. Exactly next day the main responsible of security calls Mr. Kuchkyan and Mrs Shahverdyan to his office where 4 Azerbaijani were waiting for them, the former ambassador of Azerbaijan to Rome in that number. The Azeris continued to prove that the presentation of NKR pavilion is a breach of law.
After a long quarrel when the security officer realizes the ridiculous behavior of the Azerbaijani side applies to the latter saying that they have not chosen the correct place for discussions. The other day the Azeris forgetting why they were at the exhibition, put posters which read “one million Azeri refugees”, “Armenians entered Karabakh”, etc. Mr. Kuchkyan applied to Emanuel Forlin who promises to interfere.
On the closing day of the exhibition the members of Italian – Armenian community visited the NKR delegation headed by Father Tovma Khachatryan, who has passed to the guests his best wishes and gratitude.
