Paruyr Hayrikyan likely to be flown abroad for further treatment
The wound on the body of Paruyr Hayrikyan, chairman of the National Self-Determination Union, is not healing, so he is likely to be flown abroad for further treatment, Hayrikyan’s friend Karo Yeghnukyan told Panorama.am.
According to him, Hayrikyan is undergoing post-surgery treatment at the International Red Cross Post-Traumatic Rehabilitation Center, but so far his treatment has been ineffective.
“The wound on his back was examined and there proved to be a problem. Specialists from Armenian Health Ministry and the medical center have recommended that Hayrikyan be transferred abroad for treatment unless the wound heals,” Yeghnukyan said, adding that they do not mind it.
