Richard Giragosian: Raffi Hovannisian lacks political team
The last presidential elections were elections of missed opportunities, says Richard Giragosian, director of the Yerevan-based Regional Studies Center (RSC).
“The elections should have been more free and fair, and we can say that it was a missed opportunity for Armenia,” Giragosian told a news conference in Yerevan.
The presidential elections in Armenia lacked competitiveness, he added.
Commenting on the post-election situation in Armenia, Giragosian noted that there is a crisis of confidence both in the government and the opposition.
So far, the actions of the opposition have shown that it has no clear plan of action and that Raffi Hovannisian lacks a political team, said the expert.
