168 Hours: Raffi Hovannisian’s parents to persuade him to end hunger strike
Raffi Hovannisian’s parents, who arrived from the United States, will urge him to end the hunger strike, 168 Hours reports. According to the paper, after Raffi Hovannisian declared hunger strike, Armenian authorities through diplomatic channels and with the help of the Diaspora got in touch with Raffi Hovannisian’s father, Richard Hovannisian, and asked him to persuade his son to end the hunger strike. Richard Hovannisian said that he is going to visit Armenia irrespective of their request as he is very much concerned about his son’s health, adding that he is sure his visit and his persuasions cannot influence his son’s decision.
