Messi: We are hopeful to clinch a positive result
Argentina star Lionel Messi has expressed caution ahead of his side's World Cup qualifier in Bolivia on Tuesday night, Goal.com reported.
Despite currently enjoying a four-point lead over second-placed Colombia at the top of CONMEBOL's qualification table, with Bolivia eighth out of nine teams, the Argentine and Barcelona attacker refused to accept the encounter at high altitude as easy.
"We have achieved nothing yet. We are playing Bolivia and they are hard to surpass," Messi told reporters.
The 25-year-old then reminded of the Albiceleste's last World Cup qualifier in Bolivia ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, which saw the South American giant thrashed 6-1 at Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz.
"Everybody knows what happened last time, so we are hopeful to clinch a positive result," Messi said.
