Artsakh leader appoints new police chief
On March 25, Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan signed a decree relieving police Maj. Gen. Robert Shaferyan of his position as chief of police under the NKR Cabinet of Ministers due to his own application.
On the same day, President Sahakyan signed another decree appointing Maj. Gen. Kamo Aghajanyan chief of police under the NKR Cabinet of Ministers.
Robert Shaferyan was appointed Deputy Secretary of the NKR Security Council.
On March 26, Bako Sahakyan visited NKR police to introduce Kamo Aghajanyan to police workers.
Bako Sahakyan rated high the input and contribution of former police chief Robert Shaferyan to the establishment and development of the system and expressed gratitude to him for his long-term service.
President Sahakyan noted that Robert Shaferyan, who was appointed Deputy Secretary of the NKR Security Council, will use his rich experience and knowledge for the country’s further strengthening.
Introducing Kamo Aghajanyan, Bako Sahakyan noted that his work experience and virtues allow the newly appointed police chief to maintain the structure's good traditions and raise the efficiency of its work, Central Information Department at Artsakh President's Office reported.
