Azerbaijani scientists confessed that they wanted to cause artificial earthquake in Metsamor NPP
Director of the Institute of Radiation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences Adil Garibov has proposed to check Metsamor NPP in Armenia for resistance in extreme conditions. To do this, the Azerbaijani scientist suggests to cause an artificial earthquake.
As the site “Publika.az” reports, Garibov stated that Metsamor NPP is still working normally and has not been tested for resistance at 9 magnitude earthquake.
"If an earthquake or other extreme situation occurs there, how will the reactor act? It needs to be checked out in extreme conditions, but no one does it. It is possible to cause such an artificial earthquake, let's check whether Metsamor NPP will withstand or not. Naturally, the reactor will not stand it. We believe in the tests of international structures and do not put them into question. But let at least one international expert answer, whether the reactor will resist the earthquake of 9 balls and whether Armenia will be able to supply its operation? This is our demand," said the director of the ANAS Institute of Radiation Issues.
He also expressed his outrage for the fact that the neighboring countries do not support the initiative of Azerbaijan.
Earlier, the director of the Azerbaijan Center for Political Innovations and Technologies Mubariz Ahmedoglu stated that the bombing of Metsamor NPP by Azerbaijan is rather real act during the Karabakh war, and even more efficient for the "liberation" of territories. "As soon as the rocket will fall at the plant or storage of nuclear waste, the whole Armenian army would start to save the Armenian civilians and will leave the occupied territory," the analyst said.
