Recently the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan spreads information about the fact that the skirmishes on Armenian – Azerbaijani border continue and the situation is rather tensed (there is one victim and two injured from the Azerbaijani side, report the same sources). Though the RA MoD denies the abovementioned information, Azerbaijan insists that the situation on the board is tensed.

Very strange situation has occurred from the first site. The corresponding structures in Azerbaijan speak of the tensed situation that exists on Armenian – Azerbaijani border during the last 2 days, about the losses from both sides, while the RA MoD not only denies the fact of losses but also the fact of skirmishes. A question arises, what the reason of this noise is and what problems Azerbaijan solves by this step.

Azerbaijan is aimed to show that the situation on Armenian – Azerbaijani border and on the contact line of Karabakh – Azerbaijan troops is rather tensed. It is conditioned by two circumstances – internal and external. From the point of view of external factors Azerbaijan tries to persuade the international community that the NKR conflict is not frozen, and the war still continues. That’s the reason why Azerbaijan is against the suggestion of the mediators to take the snipers away from the front line and refuses to insert mechanisms of conducting investigation of incidents that take place on the border.

As for the internal factors, Alievs’ power exists for 2 decades already by the help of this “resource” as the propaganda machine of the state conditions the problems that exist in the country for 20 years by the Karabakh war and by his ambitious plan of making it a part of its territory.

Second, Azerbaijan performs such a scenario especially when it fails its sabotage on Armenian – Azerbaijani border or Karabakh – Azerbaijani contact line. It tries to present the recorded losses under the veil of other incidents. May be if there were no losses the country could conceal its failed operation, but when there are losses then the propaganda machine tries to present the situation within the interests of Azerbaijan.
