Karen Andreasyan thankful to parliamentary majority, but not indebted to them
Armenian Ombudsman is thankful to the parliamentary majority for electing him, but he is not indebted to them, Karen Andreasyan told reporters in Yerevan, adding that a number of Republicans criticize him.
President presents the candidacy of Ombudsman to the National Assembly and the parliament votes to elect Ombudsman.
“If someone is dissatisfied with my work, we can discuss it in parliament,” Andreasyan added.
He noted that he was elected by the then-coalition parties: Prosperous Armenia Party, Republican Party of Armenia and Orinats Yerkir Party.
“I am grateful for confidence, but I am not indebted to them. I am here to do my job,” Andreasyan said.
