Ancelotti staying as boss, PSG chief says
Carlo Ancelotti will remain on the Paris Saint-Germain hotseat for the 2013-14 campaign, says President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, according to Football Italia.
The Italian has been linked with an exit at the end of the season amidst reports that PSG want to hire Real Madrid’s Jose Mourinho.
“Ancelotti is staying at PSG,” Al-Khelaifi told L’Equipe. “I don’t understand why Ancelotti’s future has been placed into doubt.
“He has a contract here with us until 2014 and, if the team finish the season in the top three, then his stay here will be certain – 100 per cent.”
Ancelotti, 53, was appointed as PSG boss in December 2011 as a replacement for Antoine Kombouaré.
The former midfielder has worked abroad as a Coach since he left Milan in 2009 for Premiership giants Chelsea.
