At the beginning of the last week the Azerbaijani side was spreading false news as if the situation on the Armenian – Azerbaijani boarder was tensed. Skirmishes have taken place between the sides as a result of which on the Azerbaijani side two were injured and one was killed (the RA MoD denied the reality of this news.) Taking into consideration the fact that at the end of the week they continued spreading such news Panorama.am tried to find out from the speaker of RA MoD, A. Hovhannisyan, about the situation on the Armenian – Azerbaijani border and whether the rival was active.

“The Ministry of Defense has already denied the news of the Azerbaijani side about the skirmishes which allegedly have taken place on March 25-26 and as a result of which the two sides have given victims. However I have to notice that after spreading this information the Azerbaijani side has become more active, and at the moment there can be seen accumulation of military equipment and of special units.

The Ministry of Defense follows every move of the rival made on the border and is ready to undertake corresponding steps for liquidating all possible provocations and actions,” A. Hovhannisyan stressed.
