Criminal network was identified in Azerbaijan which was engaged in child pornography, which had an influential "roof" in the power structures. The photos were were carried out in the e-clubs, in one of which, on the 8th August 2012 an eight-year-old boy was raped and the sexual act was recorded on video camera in the club, the site 7gun.az writes.

The violator’s name was Yasin Maherramov. Two of his accomplices were present at the club, how took it all on the video. The boy's mother, who entered the club after his son, became a casual observer of the rape and was a shocked, after which their family was threatened by the district militia inspector who prohibit them to complain to anyone in connection with the incident.

However, the boy's parents insisted on opening a criminal case; due to this they were arrested and spent 13 hours in the police station of Binagadi district of Baku, and the investigator Mehman Aleskrov declared in defense of a pedophile, that "the 8-year-old boy had homosexual inclinations." Protesting against this issue, the boy's parents appealed to the Interior Ministry, Ministry of National Security and the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan for more than 10 times, but with no results. The rapist and his accomplice were not even questioned.

The site notes that it has information about 30 more similar cases. However, these crimes are not investigated because the parents of the children are afraid and are shy to complain.
