Bako Sahakyan: Overall, NKR MFA fulfilled its tasks in 2012
On April 2, President of Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited the NKR Foreign Ministry to attend a consultation to sum up the activities of the structure in 2012 and to discuss the 2013 action plan.
Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan, other responsible officials delivered reports.
In his remarks, President Sahakyan noted that overall, the Ministry fulfilled its tasks in the period under review.
Referring to the republic’s foreign political agenda, Bako Sahakyan noted that it remains unchanged with the peaceful settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict, international recognition of the Artsakh Republic and the development of multilateral ties with different states remaining as top priorities. President Bako Sahakyan issued corresponding instructions for proper implementation of the activities in these directions.
The Artsakh President stressed that the information and propaganda sector is of particular importance for solving the foreign policy agenda super-tasks and the main stress here should be put on the dissemination of accurate and truthful information about the country and different fields of its life as well as on intensifying struggle against the rival’s false propaganda.
Bako Sahakyan rated as important the intensification of diplomatic activity in the field of foreign economic relations, which will also give an additional impetus to the socioeconomic development of the republic.
President Bako Sahakyan said that the problems faced by the structure, the improvement of working and social conditions of the staff will remain in the spotlight of the authorities, Central Information Department at Artsakh President's Office reported.
