Haqqin.az: Czech Foreign Minister ignores Azerbaijan
First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg is to visit Armenia and Georgia on April 8-12, however the visit to Azerbaijan is not planned, says Azerbaijani news agency "Haqqin.az."
"Earlier, oppositionist bloggers Elnur Majidli and Emin Milli spread information in social networks that the foreign minister of Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg has postponed his visit to Azerbaijan scheduled for the next month as a sign of protest against the violation of human rights and domestic policies carried out by Ilahm Aliyev’s Government," writes the site.
However, later, the Czech diplomatic sources told "Haqqin.az" that the visit of the head of the Czech foreign ministry to Azerbaijan was not planned at all.
"However considering the fact that Schwarzenberg visits neighboring countries - Georgia and Armenia - it is not excluded that there are some friction between Baku and Prague," the article says.
During his visit to Armenia and Georgia Schwarzenberg will hold a series of meetings with the leaderships of the countries, bilateral relations will be discussed, as well as relations with the European Union and regional problems.
