Alexander Iskandaryan: I see no serious rival to Taron Margaryan
I think the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has higher chances at the municipal elections than the remaining parties. Taron Margaryan has high chances to be reelected as Yerevan Mayor, political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan told reporters today.
According to him, in spite of the fact that there are weighty political forces running in the elections, he sees no serious rival to Taron Margaryan as well as does not think it probable that the opposition will unite.
Regarding the chances of Raffi Hovannisian and Barev Yerevan bloc, Iskandaryan mentioned the circumstance that most of the people who currently support Raffi Hovannisian did not vote for him at presidential elections, which means that this is merely a protest and it has nothing to do with Heritage’s electorate.
