Gallup: 57.6 percent of Yerevan residents see Taron Margaryan as Yerevan Mayor
The Gallup International Association conducted a survey on municipal elections among Yerevan residents. Gallup International Association Armenia director Aram Navasardyan presented the survey results at a news conference on Saturday.
Asked whom they see as Yerevan Mayor, 57.6 percent of respondents mentioned Taron Margaryan, 5.9 percent Vartan Oskanian, 3.8 percent Armen Yeritsyan, 3.7 percent Armen Martirosyan.
Asked which political force they consider real opposition, 21.3 percent of respondents mentioned Barev Yerevan bloc of parties. Armenian National Congress (ANC), Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) ARFD, Orinats Yerkir Party and Mission party received respectively 16.8 percent, 14.2 percent, 9.1 percent, 6.6 percent and 3.6 percent.
25 percent of respondents said there is no opposition at municipal elections and 35.7 percent found it difficult to answer the question.
