U.S. Department of State: Loss of lives in war reminds that there cannot be a military solution to Karabakh conflict
“The tragic loss of life in the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia reminds us that there cannot be a military solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Only a lasting and peaceful settlement can bring stability, prosperity, and reconciliation to the region,” Patrick Ventrell, the US Acting Deputy Spokesperson told at the briefing on April 26.
The statement is available on the US Department of State, He also added that the United States is a co-chair of the Minsk Group, and we remain firmly committed to working with both sides to achieve peace.”
Touching upon the issue of the Turkish Foreign Ministry having condemned President Obama’s April 24 statement on remembrance of the Armenian genocide implemented by the Ottoman Empire in 1915 Patrick Ventrell added that the statement stands for itself, and he referred everyone to the U.S. President’s very clear statement.
