Armenian Diocese of Tehran condemns abduction of two Christian bishops in Syria
Iranian Armenians condemn the abduction of two Christian bishops in Syria’s Aleppo, the Armenian Diocese of Tehran said in a statement, according to Iran’s news agency Fars.
“We condemn such actions against clergymen, be them Christian or Muslim. We call on the conflicting sides to disarm and resolve the problems through negotiations. At the same time, we demand to immediately free the abducted bishops. Let us not forget that Syria has always been a country of negotiations and stability,” the statement said.
