Iranian Attorney General meets with Iranian prisoners serving sentence in Vardashen Correctional Facility in Yerevan
The Iranian Attorney General has met with Iranian prisoners serving sentence in Vardashen Correctional Facility in Yerevan, Iran’s news agency Mehr reported.
As part of his visit to Yerevan, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei visited Vardashen Correctional Facility, where he met with 11 Iranian prisoners serving sentence in the Armenian prison, Mehr reported.
An agreement was reached with Armenia to transfer seven Iranian prisoners to their native country to serve the remaining sentence there, the Iranian news agency said.
In accordance with an agreement with Armenia, 23 Iranian prisoners were transferred to Iran last year.
The Prosecutor General’s Offices of Armenia and Iran signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in Yerevan on Tuesday.
