On May 2, in connection with the Victory Day, the Day of the NKR Defense Army and the 21st anniversary of the Liberation of Shoushi, President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan signed several decrees.

For personal bravery shown during the defense of the Motherland 5 individuals were awarded Medal for Courage.

For successful performance of combat missions, raising combat readiness of the forces as well as courage shown while defending state borders 224 individuals, 10 of them posthumously, were awarded Medal for Service in Battle.

For personal bravery shown during the battles for the liberation of Shoushi 26 individuals, three of them posthumously, were awarded Medal for Liberation of Shoushi.

On the same day, President Sahakyan signed an order presenting valuable gifts to a group of veterans of the Great Patriotic and Artsakh wars, Defense Army servicemen and relatives of perished freedom fighters and missing soldiers, Central Information Department at Artsakh President's Office reported.
