Political analyst compares forthcoming municipal elections to Battle of Kursk
Yerevan elections are not political. These are elections of a manager. But these elections have been politicized, and an attempt is being made to achieve a change of power through mayoral elections, political analyst Levon Shirinyan told reporters on Friday.
According to him, these elections are like the Battle of Kursk - the opposition will try to achieve a change of the municipal power, while the authorities will try not to allow it.
“Even if the authorities win the elections, it will not be an easy victory as the opposition is well organized,” the political analyst said.
Shirinyan added that it is not ruled out that the ruling party’s candidate will not win the elections.
