Arabic studies expert: Intervention of Azerbaijanis in Syrian military operations poses danger to Syrian Armenians
Damascus can only respond with statements to Israeli attacks on Syrian military facilities, Arabic studies expert Sargis Grigoryan told reporters on Saturday.
According to him, Syrian government forces lack technical resources to take adequate actions and respond to Israeli attacks, that’s why there will be nothing more than official statements.
Referring to the condition of Syrian Armenians, Sargis Grigoryan said that despite the fact that the fights are coming closer to Armenian-populated regions, they maintain a neutral position.
“The Syrian Armenians say they are not going to intervene in the military operations,” the Arabic studies expert said, adding that currently there are 35-40,000 Armenians in Syria.
At the same time, he noted that the intervention of Azerbaijanis in Syrian military operations poses danger to Syrian Armenians.
