Serzh Sargsyan, Robert Kocharyan attending church consecration ceremony in Abovyan
Surb Hovhannes Church constructed with the funds of Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan in the city of Abovyan, Kotayk Province, will be consecrated in a ceremony today.
High-ranking guests are arriving at the moment. President Serzh Sargsyan and second Armenian President Robert Kocharyan are among the guests who have already arrived.
Speaking to reporters, Gagik Tsarukyan said that he sent an invitation to all politicians, including first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Heritage leader Raffi Hovannisian as well as leaders of other parties, because church plays a unifying role.
