Yerevan to host DigiTec Business Forum in June
Yerevan will host the 6th Annual DigiTec Business Forum on June 21-22, Executive Director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) Karen Vardanyan told today’s news conference.
This year, DigiTec Business Forum will bring together companies from Russia, Georgia, Singapore, Italy and United States. About 30 companies have submitted applications for participation in the event. A total of 60 companies are expected to participate in it.
Karen Vardanyan noted that DigiTec Business Forum aims to contribute to the increase of the use of information technologies in business – both in private companies and state structures.
“I think the upcoming business forum will be qualitatively different from the previous ones,” he added.
Chairman of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia Arsen Ghazaryan, for his part, said that the participation of international companies in the business forum testifies to its international significance.
“Armenia’s future is connected with information technologies,” he stressed, adding that Armenia should become a producer of high quality engineering ideas and innovative professions in the region.
