Opposition parties made gross strategic mistakes in Yerevan election race, says political technologist
The Armenian National Congress party and the other opposition forces made gross strategic mistakes in Yerevan election race – they held an agitation campaign and not an election campaign, expert of political and electoral technologies Armen Badalyan told today’s news conference.
According to him, the opposition forces were not competitive as during the election campaign they were mainly focused on the criticism of the Republican Party, while they should have presented their program so that the people could choose between today’s and tomorrow’s Yerevan.
Mr Badalyan added that the opposition forces even failed to clarify for the people that RPA’s top candidate Taron Margaryan is a member of that party.
One of the voters voted for Taron Margaryan not knowing that he is a member of RPA, the political technologist said. There were many such people who were against RPA but voted for Taron Margaryan, according to the expert.
