Tevez turns down Monaco
It’s claimed Manchester City star Carlos Tevez has turned down Monaco and his agent is in Italy for talks with Juventus, Football Italia reported.
The Argentine seems set to leave the Premier League at the end of the season, as his contract expires in 2014, and is looking to keep his €10m per season wages.
He had been in talks with newly-promoted French club Monaco, who have Claudio Ranieri on the bench, but new reports suggest the deal fell through.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tevez’s agent Adrian Rouco is already in Italy to discuss a move with Juventus.
The Bianconeri would propose a three-year contract worth a total €18m plus performance-related bonuses.
He would be the ‘top player’ they are looking for to reinforce the attack and had already been heavily linked with a move to Serie A last year.
