Armenian parliament to discuss gas price increase on May 23
The Armenian parliament will discuss the increase in gas price after the four-day parliament session finishes on May 23, Armenian parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan said at the beginning of the parliament session today.
The discussion, initiated by Hovik Abrahamyan, will host Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia Robert Nazaryan.
MP Zaruhi Postanjyan asked Mr Abrahamyan what he can do to prevent an increase in the gas price. “Gas is goods imported from abroad. Goods have their prices which are not determined by the authorities. They are holding discussions with the proper Russian bodies and do everything possible to prevent a high price,” said the parliament speaker.
