Vardan Ayvazyan: Gas price increase is purely economic issue
The gas price increase is not a political but a purely economic issue, member of RPA parliamentary faction Vardan Ayvazyan told reporters on Tuesday.
According to the MP, the gas price increase is a challenge to Armenia’s economy. Ayvazyan believes that apart from negotiating with Russia over the gas price, Armenia should also put pressure on the distributor [ArmRusGazprom] through the Public Council and other bodies.
Ayvazyan does not rule out that gas price can be subsidized not only by the state budget. “It can be subsidized by state resources and grants, and even by Russia,” he said.
