Armenian candidate for Azerbaijani President ready to struggle until victory
Head of the Assembly of Azerbaijani-Armenians Grigory Ayvazyan, who runs for the President of Azerbaijan, expects to receive at least 60 percent of votes at elections, he told today’s news conference, adding that he is ready to struggle until victory.
Ayvazyan said that he is waiting for an approval by Baku.
“We hope to receive a written response. But although I understand that I am endangering my life, I am ready to leave for Baku even today for the sake of the truth and justice,” he said.
Ayvazyan noted that his participation in the Azerbaijani presidential elections can already be considered a victory because he will have a possibility to raise the issue of the rights of Azerbaijani-Armenians.
“It is necessary to restore the rights of the Azerbaijani-Armenians and make up for the hardship they went through because of Azerbaijan,” he said.
