Presidents of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus to attend session of Supreme Eurasian Economic Council
Russian President Vladimir Putin together with the leaders of Kazakhstan and Belarus on May 29 will attend a session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, his aide, Yury Ushakov, has told the press, according to Interfax.
He said the meeting will mull the prospects of further integration engagement and plans of forming the Eurasian Economic Union by January 1, 2015.
Questions of guaranteeing the operations of the Custom Union, the further developing the Common Economic Space and codifying international documents, including the draft treaty of the Eurasian Economic Union, will also be mulled.
The agenda also includes other issues, namely, the adoption of a concept of a coordinated agroindustrial policy and formation of an integrated information system in foreign and mutual trade. Several documents are expected to be signed.
The meetings of the three leaders will be followed by a meeting of five countries when the leaders of the troika will be joined by the leaders of Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan.
