Because of the severe social situation in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhichevan, the population massively migrates to Turkey and Russia. “blogexeber.com” website publishes a video report about the Nakhichevan migrants from Azerbaijan to Turkey.

The report speaks of inhabitants of Nakhichevan, mostly living in Istanbul's "500 Evler", who tell about corruption, bribery and arbitrary power in Azerbaijan. One of the migrants tells that the answer to his question, "Who will protect the homeland, if all leave?" the government spokesman responded: "We have both the police and the military forces that will protect the border, they will protect us."

The head of Nakhichevan community in Istanbul says that most of the population of the autonomous republic has already migrated to Turkey and Russia, where they live in extremely difficult conditions and have the status of unskilled labourers, nevertheless, the people agree with these terms and conditions as well, as in their homeland they are deprived of this possibility as well.

In the "500 Evler" region every second is an inhabitant of Nahichevan. There are 2,000 families living there already. "Children of Nakhichevan inhabitants work since 7 years in Istanbul. They do not go to school because the parents do not have right to reside in Turkey," the head of the community says.
