Cristiano Ronaldo rejects new Real Madrid contract
Cristiano Ronaldo has opened the door to a potential return to Manchester United by rejecting a new contract at Real Madrid, Metro.co.uk reported.
Ronaldo, who has two years remaining on his current deal, is said to have snubbed a three-year extension to his current terms – leaving Madrid stunned.
President Florentino Perez had tried to allay fears the 28-year-old could leave this week by suggesting he was confident the forward would finish his career at the Bernabeu.
‘I think that Cristiano will end his professional career at Real Madrid,’ said Perez.
