The Lebanese army has warned it will immediately respond to any future cross-border attacks by Syrian government forces after an attack on a border town in northern Lebanon, the Sky News reports.
A Syrian helicopter fired missiles at Arsal in a bid to catch "terrorist groups" trying to flee to Lebanon, according to the Syrian state news agency SANA.
According to the article, two people were injured, security sources told Reuters news agency.
"Army units deployed in the (Arsal) area took the necessary defensive measures to respond immediately to any similar violations," the Lebanese army said in a statement.
