Perez keen to renew Ronaldo deal
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has reiterated his desire to extend Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with the club, according to Soccer News.
The Portuguese winger moved to the Santiago Bernabeu from Manchester United in 2009, and has scored an incredible 201 goals in just 199 appearances since.
And Perez is eager to reward the 28-year-old with an improved deal amid rumours he could return to Old Trafford.
“He’s our most important asset, and we will build the future of Madrid around him,” he told 20Minutos.
“Soon we will clarify this issue. I have no doubt that Cristiano is going to retire at Real Madrid. I’m convinced that he’ll renew. The renewals are done before the season starts.”
