Cosmetologist’s advice on how to take care of skin in summer
In summer, exposure to sun makes skin dry. So, more people use cosmetology services in summer months. Most of them are exposed to sun between 12:00 and 17:00.
“Exposure to sun causes hyperpigmentation. So, being outdoors between 12:00 and 17:00, when ultraviolet sun rays are most active, is harmful to skin,” cosmetologist and dermatologist Tatevik Muradyan told our correspondent.
“To protect skin from harmful sun rays, it is recommended to apply sunscreen to your face before sun exposure, depending on skin type, unless there are skin problems and if the skin is not sensitive,” she said.
Children should also apply sunscreen. Besides, they should wear hats and glasses when in hot weather, according to the specialist.
Applying fruits or vegetables to face is advisable but has not much effect, the cosmetologist concluded.
