PACE President: It was a meeting between friends, Azerbaijanis, Armenians, parliamentarians
The Armenian and Azerbaijani delegations met after the plenary session of PACE in Strasbourg on June 26. PACE President Jean-Claude Mignon was also present at the meeting, which lasted for about 2 hours, Noyan Tapan news agency reported.
Commenting on the meeting, Jean-Claude Mignon said that it was a meeting of good will. “It was a meeting between friends, Azerbaijanis, Armenians, parliamentarians, with the participation of the PACE President. We decided to meet here, the home of democracy, as friends and discuss how to build our activities. I should note that I felt that both sides had a sincere wish and political will for joint activities. We decided to make such meetings regular. The meetings will also be held during other sessions,” Mignon said.
