Artsakh hosts ‘TNJRE’ international music festival
The 3rd International Festival of Young Performers of Classical Music ‘TNJRE’ is taking place in Artsakh, running from July 1 to 8.
Participants from more than 10 countries performed at ‘TNJRE 2013’ festival. They appeared in solo concerts and joint accompaniments, as well as with the International Festival Orchestra.
Panorama’s camera crew was in Artsakh in the days of the festival.
Festival participants were delighted with the country. All of them said that they will be happy to visit Artsakh again.
“I liked Artsakh very much. It is a very beautiful country, and the festival is very nice. I would like to come here again,” said the daughter of one of the festival participants.
A Singaporean participant said, “Both the country and its people are beautiful. Its culture is very much different from that of Singapore. I would like peace everywhere. I believe that music can unite everyone.”
The Singaporean, who is visiting Artsakh for the first time, regularly posts photos of Artsakh’s sights and notes on his Facebook page.
Twelve concerts of the festival took place in Stepanakert, Shushi, the village of Togh in Hadrut and the village of Astghashen in Askeran, as well as in Martuni and Karvachar. Works by Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Khachatrian as well as pieces by contemporary composers were performed.
The symbol and the name of the festival – ‘TNJRE’/the name of the 2000-years-old platan tree in Karabakh dialect/ has been chosen in order to draw attention to the conservation and protection of this unique natural monument of Artsakh, as well as for improving the area around Tnjre.
