Maestro Raimonds Pauls to attend Erebuni-Yerevan-2795 celebrations
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with famous Latvian composer, pianist, director, arranger and producer Raimonds Pauls in Riga as part of an official visit, press service of Yerevan Mayor’s Office reported.
Jazzman Levon Malkhasyan and member of Yerevan Council of Elders Hrant Tokhatyan were also present at the meeting.
Mr Pauls welcomed the guests and congratulated them on signing an agreement declaring Yerevan and Riga sister cities. The composer expressed the hope that the agreement will help further strengthen the cultural ties between the two capitals.
Taron Margaryan thanked for a warm reception and said that there is great potential for mutually beneficial cooperation with Riga, including in the field of culture.
Yerevan Mayor invited the Maestro to Armenia to attend Erebuni-Yerevan-2795 celebrations this autumn and Mr Pauls accepted the invitation.
