Serzh Sargsyan meets with ADB Vice-President Xiaoyu Zhao
President Serzh Sargsyan met with Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Mr. Xiaoyu Zhao on Tuesday, July 9.
The President of Armenia stressed the importance and hailed the ADB’s mission in Armenia as well as in the Asian region. Regular visits of the Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank, according to Serzh Sargsyan, testify to our country’s expanding relations with the ADB. The President of Armenia expressed hope that the current visit of Mr. Xiaoyu Zhao to our country, just as the previous visits, will also be efficient and will boost Armenia’s productive cooperation with the Bank which is aimed at our country’s sustainable development and improvement of infrastructure.
The President of Armenia and Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank Mr. Xiaoyu Zhao underscored the importance of the programs implemented in our country through the Bank’s assistance in a number of priority areas, including road construction and, particularly, construction of the North-South highway which is essential for Armenia’s development.
Mr. Xiaoyu Zhao noted that the ADB is interested in further developing relations with Armenia and will continue to work toward attracting investments to Armenia and assistance in ensuring sustainable economic growth of our country, presidential press service reported.
