No significant price increases in food market - SCPEC
There are no significant price increases in the Armenian food market following the gas price increase, Gayane Sahakyan, a spokesperson for the State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC), has told Panorama.am.
The spokesperson said that the commission mainly monitors markets of dairy and meat products, sausage, macaroni foods, vegetable oil and eggs.
Ms Sahakyan noted that the commission’s monitoring on Wednesday found no price changes in the mentioned markets, adding that prices for some foods have decreased in several shops.
Regarding the increase in bread prices, she stressed that bread market is not controlled by the commission as there are no big bread producers in Armenia.
