Extended serviceman of Azerbaijani internal troops stabbed by Aliyev in Sumgait
An extended-serviceman of internal troops of Azerbaijan was murdered in Sumgait. According to Azerbaijani information agency “Vesti.az,” the murder was reported by the Police Department of Sumgait.
The crime was committed in a vacation house block. According to the reports, extended-serviceman Abdullayev Mehman Arif (born 1990) was murdered by his brother-in-law, Aliyev Shahan Natigoglou (born 1981). Aliyev is detained, charges were laid against him.
During the preliminary investigation it was revealed that Shahan Aliyev had had a fight with his wife earlier; Aliyev took her to her father’s vacation house and left her there. The couple has two children.
“Mehman Abdullayev, who had returned to his parents’ house from Gazakh region for two days, witnessed a heated family drama.” He tried to calm his brother-in-law down and suggested they travel to Gazakh region together for vacation and health treatments. However, Aliyev didn’t believe in his sincerity and claimed that Abdullayev wants to lure him into Gazakh to murder. The relatives had a dispute, which ended up in murder. Aliyev, who had shown up in his father-in-law’s house with a knife, put the cold steel into use,” writes Vesti.az.
Since the beginning of 2013 state bodies of Azerbaijan have confirmed deaths of 50 soldiers, 44 of which have died in a non-combat environment. The media has reported a few more deaths.
