Azerbaijan fired at Baghanis-Ijevan highway – Armenian Defense Ministry
Reports from Armenia’s Tavush province say that Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire in Baghanis section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, as a result of which Baghanis-Ijevan highway was temporarily closed and traffic was moving by an alternative road.
Our correspondent contacted Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan asking him to comment on the situation at the line of contact. The spokesman said: “Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire, opening fire at Armenian defensive posts. A few single shots were fired at the highway. The situation is stable now.”
