Maradona undergoes eye surgery
Football legend Diego Maradona underwent successful eye surgery on Tuesday, his surgeon said, according to AFP.
Maradona, 52, underwent surgery to correct presbyopia, age-related loss of ability to focus on close-by objects, in the western Argentine city of Mendoza.
"Maradona was fine, it was a normal routine presbyopia procedure we do. He did well; he's a great patient," surgeon Roberto Zaldivar told reporters.
Maradona was expected to undergo a check-up before returning to Buenos Aires and then on to Dubai where he is a sports ambassador.
