First specialized shop ‘Made in Armenia’ opens in Yerevan
In recent years, the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia (UMB(E)A) has been taking measures to boost light industry and to support native producers in Armenia.
For that purpose, according to the Union’s press service, UMB(E)A established a Branch Union of Light Industry Producers, which over the past one year – through meetings, discussions, debates and visits – made the government pay attention to the light industry sector.
One of the long-awaited steps of the Branch Union of Light Industry Producers was the opening of the first specialized shop ‘Made in Armenia’ in Yerevan, which offers clothes, shoes, hosiery and other goods produced in Armenia.
According to the Union, consumers show much interest in the high-quality goods offered by the shop.
The shop is located at 20 Tigran Mets Avenue. Similar shops will be opened in Armenian provinces in the future if the project proves to be successful, the Union said.
