New-boy Soldado hopes 'great' Bale will stay at Tottenham
Tottenham-bound Roberto Soldado is hoping the north London club can resist Real Madrid's move for Gareth Bale so he can line up alongside the Wales international this season, according to Goal.com.
The 28-year-old striker will link up with Andre Villas-Boas' side subject to a medical and, having already turned his attentions to his new colleagues, hopes Spurs can keep Bale at White Hart Lane.
He told reporters: “I think everybody knows about Gareth Bale. He’s a great player and that’s why Tottenham are making it so difficult for him to leave. Of course, I hope that he stays with Spurs.”
