Sargsyan, Rohani discuss bilateral ties
As part of his working visit to Iran, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met today with Iran’s new President Hassan Rohani, the presidential press service reported.
The two discussed a wide range of issues related to both bilateral and multilateral relations. They stressed that the agenda of Armenian-Iranian cooperation is rich, and testifies to the implementation of a number of big projects. Serzh Sargsyan and Hassan Rohani hailed the mutually beneficial cooperation based on centuries-old friendship between Armenia and Iran, and stressed the necessity of raising the cooperation to a new level.
The Presidents also discussed regional issues, in particular the current stage of the Karabakh peace process.
At the conclusion, Sargsyan and Rohani expressed readiness to continue working towards the expansion of Armenian-Iranian cooperation.
