Transport fare protester suffers sunstroke
Suren Sahakyan, one of the activists holding a sit-in outside Yerevan Municipality demanding the resignation of some transport officials, was hospitalized last night and diagnosed with sunstroke.
Sahakyan is suffering from high temperature, according to the initiative ‘We pay AMD 100.” However, St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center, where the activist was taken to, refused to provide free medical services and offered him either to have paid medical aid or to leave the hospital.
Sahakyan has left the hospital and joined the protesters with a catheter hooked up to his arm and his condition being unchanged.
