Injured Armenian serviceman said to be in ‘stable’ condition
As we reported earlier, an Armenian serviceman was injured as Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire at the contact line between the Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces.
The Armenian Defense Ministry has issued a statement in connection with the incident.
“An Armenian serviceman, identified as Armenak Ayvazyan, was injured by Azeri bullet at the military post of the village of Aygepar, Tavush province, around 23:55 on August 5. The injured serviceman tried to leave the danger zone by car, but the enemy opened fire at the car’s front glass, as a result of which Ayvazyan received a second injury.
Armenak Ayvazyan is currently under medical supervision, and is said to be in stable condition," the statement said, in part.
